Multex.com's New Ticker Search Engine Empowers Investors with
Advanced Research Capabilities

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999--To date, search engine technology has not allowed for comprehensive ticker searches from the world's exchanges.

Starting today, however, investment professionals can easily find company research, regardless of exchange or country of origin, by utilizing the new Multex.com symbol search engine.

Multex.com (NASDAQ: MLTX - news) has reengineered its searching structure to deliver the most complete and relevant research result set ever available through its products. An innovation in the financial services industry, this new technology cross-references all company ticker symbols worldwide.

''With more than ten corporations in the world known by the symbol 'GE,' our new engine allows you to indicate that you are searching only for General Electric, without having to sift though unrelated research,'' said Isaak Karaev, president and CEO of Multex.com. ''This new search capability is another example of our commitment to providing the most timely access to the most appropriate global research.''

How it works:

As investment professionals search for information on a public company, they can now enter one ticker from an exchange such as NYSE or Tokyo SE and receive all related company research, regardless of the symbol set submitted with the research request.

All exchanges typically have different ticker symbols. The new Multex.com search engine automatically matches related tickers from over 200 exchanges worldwide so that investment professionals can use their symbol of choice to search for all relevant research available on that particular company.

This searching capability can be used on Multex.com's product lines: MultexNET, Multex Research-on-Demand, MultexEXPRESS, and will soon be available on the Multex Investor Network (http://www.multexinvestor.com).
