Your statement doesn't make sense to me. The (a?) runup has occurred based on speculation on a news release, implying that whatever the release is about has been built in to the price already regardless of the timing of the news. Unless this supposed news is earth-shattering, this stock has seen its near term high IMO. In fact, I stand a very good chance of playing this twice for the same release, as the delay will cause disappointed investors to bail, only to jump back in tomorrow, Wednesday, or whenever. I'll be there to trade in and out if and when it happens.
