SS - ABX has just made a major acquisition in acquiring Sutton Resources - whose property is in Tanzania - hence my aids related question. In fact the takeover was completed today as per the following NR:

B: BARRICK GOLD CORP - Barrick Acquires 91% of Sutton

Toronto, Ontario, Mar. 29, 1999 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX)
-- Barrick Gold Corporation announces that its offer for Sutton
Resources Ltd. was successful and 91% of the common shares of Sutton
have been taken up under the offer. Barrick's offer has expired and it
will now exercise its right to acquire all the remaining shares of
Sutton.

Under the offer, each Sutton common shareholder is entitled to receive
0.463 common shares of Barrick for each common share of Sutton. Share
certificates representing the approximately 15.5 million Barrick common
shares issuable to tendering shareholders will be mailed shortly.

"We are pleased that Sutton shareholders have chosen so overwhelmingly
to accept this offer. We now have the opportunity to realize the
potential of the Bulyanhulu Project," said Randall Oliphant, President
& Chief Executive Officer.
