This is an example of a bureaucracy run amok. The aim of
the original regulation was meant to really improve the
quality of the information available to shareholders and
potential investors by restating in plain English what
the company's annual reports and filings really meant.
Lifting the veil of legalese and jargon is such a noble
cause. Now after three revision/clarifications of the
requirements of the regulations, the companies have to
conjure up the future by disclosing nearly all meeting
minutes, notes, etc that might have anything to do with
the future of the business and the implementation and
results of the previous prognostications. "Interpreted"
for public consumption. And don't you just love the
oxymoron "known...uncertainties". Call your Congressman,
we need to raise the Capital Gains tax so we can pay for
even more of this kind rancid idealism. It seems that
our economic system is changing from capitalism to to
Capitolism.
