The "new" DFP's are not back-compat with SVGA (an analog link with RGB, Vsync, etc). TDFX has chosen the middle standard, a wise marketing move although limited to 1280x1024 resolution. The only other standard is the 36 pin (looks like SCSI-3) 48-bit digital interface found on the SGI 1600SW (known as OpenLDI) that runs at 1600x1024, designmax 2048x1600 (for the new IBM screen). No DA in this picture unless I/m confused !
