Bipin the big buyers buy anywhere from 300-700 thousand units
per month and it would only take one of those buyers to
dry up the spot within a month or two.
The major dram semi makers constantly tell buyers that if
they want the support during shortages then when product
is plentiful they have to continue their purchasing of
course at constantly negotiated pricing.
The term partnering is constantly being used in the semi
business between supplier and user and the importance for
users to be able to forecast their demand and depend upon
their supplier to then deliver on time to that demand is
paramount.

Parity {4 for 1} in pricing generally will be the case
especially during oversupply.
