My first short of AMZN was on 1-4-99 (the day BEFORE the 3-1 split)... results follow: AMZN 300 1-5-99 107 32,112 300 1-4-99 117 7/8 35,351 3,239 1 10.09% AMZN 300 1-5-99 109 1/4 32,787 300 1-4-99 114 3/16 34,244 1,457 1 4.44% AMZN 300 1-5-99 109 1/4 32,787 300 1-4-99 114 2/3 34,388 1,601 1 4.88% AMZN 300 1-5-99 108 32,412 300 1-4-99 116 2/3 34,988 2,576 1 7.95% Sorry about the excel-paste format... long and the short of it: $8873 gain. Followed by many many more on the short side of AMZN. Sure. I've been wrong before. Will be again. Don't think it'll be this time. See you in the AM.
