That is what they concluded from that interview you quoted, I don't know it is me or them need to take some reading comprehension classes.

> Bug reports are statistically, therefore actually, unimportant;

What BG said is there is less than 1% of those millions of phone calls are bug reports. And we got this conclusion from "Executive Summary"?

> If you want a bug fixed, you are (by definition) in the minority;

minority of what? Which line implies this?

> Microsoft doesn't care about bugs because bug fixes are not a significant source of revenue;

BG said, there are no new release based on sole reason of bug fixes because people will not buy it. (I think new release here doesn't count those patches or service packs.) Then where is this conclusion comes from? Bugs will be fixed in new release but bug fixes is not the sole reason for new releases. Is that really hard to understand?

> If you think you found a bug, it really only means you're incompetent;

Where this comes from?

> Anyway, people only complain about bugs to show how cool they are, not because bugs cause any real problems.

I think it should read like this: "Many people complain about bugs to show how cool they are." Not all people, not the only reason. Just look at your excitement of that Word macro virus, you are definitely one of those many people. The only odd thing is you didn't find that virus.
