I agree that that is a definite possibility. However, I personally would like a buyout to happen at this time. But on the other hand, I also wouldn't mind a bit if it actually did happen.

I believe that a buyout would cap the potential appreciation of the share value. I also believe that the splash that this company makes when it lists on Nasdaq on its own will be huge.

As it stands now, it is a very inexpensive "New" Internet company, with a/an. . .

Great business plan
Solid, and experienced Management team
5 years of experience in this business
Diversified revenue streams
Award winning technology
Killer site (soon to have video feeds etc.)
Very popular collectable and "exclusive" high margin product
Plan to expand into Europe within 90 days
Alliance with power house partners
Confirmed deals with cable TV providers for interactive TV auctions
Licensing deals for use of their technology
Established business to business relationships
World Class PR firms handling their marketing
Etc., Etc., Etc.

These are just some of the reasons why I would like to see Bid.Com test the waters on their own. I think that this company would be received very favourably (actually I think that that last statement of mine was an understatement - LOLOL).

Now one of the key things that Bid.Com is offering to other companies is the ability for them to license their technology and get their own auction sites up and running quickly. This will save these companies the considerable hassles and inevitable delays that come with having to work all of development glitches that a "build your own" auction site may bring. Given the current competitive climate in this business, it kind of makes you stop to wonder about the possibilities and who the potential customers might be!

Now, I also have to say that a buyout, or part ownership, would not be bad news either.

I guess we will have to wait for a bit to see what is in store for this great little company. I can hardly wait!
