Heh heh, OK, with that nice invitation to speak THO intimidated, I wish to ask this erudite thread about an ad I saw in Apr. 5 issue, page 45-46.

"A chip in the engine (car) alerts an electronic service that the driver signed up for when he bought the car. This service locates the nearest garage, books an appointment, provides directions to the driver, pushes his next business meeting back an hour and arranges for a rental car to meet him at the gargage." (all this because the car is about to blow a gasket) It goes on to notify the car manufacturer, etc. etc. and ends with "The next chapter of the Internet is about to be written. And it will have nothing to do with you working the Web. Instead, the Internet will work for you. www.hp.com/e-services."

The ad was placed by Hewlett Packard.

My question is....hmmm, is HP that sophisticated already, and are they in the forefront on this?
