I was surprised that the company responded to you so quickly. first of all, you need to break down sunw revenue in 3 sections and i don't think sunw gives this info. clearly, that is why i say sunw extreemly under priced. + future potenials of e-commerce from amzon and alike. sunw will give turn key solutions to amazon-wantabeees. sunw price to sales 4.5, pe 53 compare that to other storage biz. server/storage buizness: emc p/s sales 14.6 and pe 82.sw biz: java & solaris : msft p/s 25.3 pe 76 hw biz : ibm /hwp /cpq / dell? ibm p/s= 1.7 pe varies 38-70? ibm reven grwoth is 7 % cpu : intc intc p/s = 6.9 don't understand why emc price to sales and pe are so high compare to the technology that sunw offers. i would say sunw storage biz not as great as emc but still not far behind.
