John G,

Actually we have records on file from Microsoft, as they from us, that we have the right to both develop and distribute the software after compliance with their licensing rules. All licensing obligations were fulfilled prior to the ‘Crayon Crawlers' official release. Here is the link to apply for the licensing should you wish to explore the issue further; microsoft.com

Background Information:
Microsoft licenses some of their products like the ‘Microsoft Agent' technology, which we adapted for use in the ‘Crayon Crawler' Children's Browser. Many other software engineers and Companies take Microsoft products in other directions, and can do so only because Microsoft utilizes open architecture design on the I.E. 4.0 platform. The licensing is actually free and available to anyone who wishes to develop software.

Thank you for your question.

Regards,

Cliff Smith
