IG--I thought your comment about dsl being lower quality than cable was strange, and so took the statement over to the "Last Mile" technical wizards. Received two replies. Both individuals dispute the validity of what you reported. Of course I recognize the questioning tone of your statement. In any event, I thought it beneficial to try to set the record straight. Message 8595734 is the first, with the second immediately after it. By the way, I thought your point about AOL's marketing power, to speed acceptance of dsl, was a good one. And I disagree with one of your responders; AOL is not "dead meat" (I think were the words used). They're the only company with any brand equity among the whole ISP population. Best, JS
