Thanks for the explanation of your positions, Sonki. I've been writing calls on dell for 6 weeks now because I feel they are stuck in a narrow channel (36-41), and won't re-energize until May. Compaq's upcoming report on 4/15 is expected to be a big miss, which should drag down the entire box sector, and the calls will expire on 4/16. At that point, I'll leave my dell position uncovered in expectation of an earnings run-up and a good report.

Aol has been amazing, but I don't think she's out of gas yet. We're sitting very close to split range, and that plus a good earnings report on 5/5 could put aol into orbit! But buying some out of the money puts would be cheap insurance and a good idea. What series did you buy?

I don't feel a need to hedge my csco or msft holding yet.

Frank
