TI2, While it would have been nice to see a repeat of the traditional seasonal upturn, it is not something I'm particularly concerned about. I might not have even been aware of the historical trend if Gottfried hadn't pointed it out to me. <g>

I remain patient and optimistic that WMAR will be able to follow through with their 1999 initiatives. I'm behind management's focus on lowering distribution costs, reducing inventory, adding select merchandise, increasing advertising and upgrading the website.

Recent year over year sales increases are not bad with Feb comp. store sales rising a bit over previous months. March sales may be less than exciting, but there's little to indicate serious concern. In fact, with analyst estimates well into negative numbers for the quarter, I suspect we hold a reasonable chance of beating the consensus.
