Thanks, Paul, for the post and link to the article on GQ Bob joining the AMD board. I preferred this one though, which has a link to not only the article you pointed out, but also a couple that mention AMD's foray into business notebooks thanks to Compaq... news.com While I've never considered Bob Palmer much of a visionary, I wonder what effect his presence will have on AMD's relationship with Compaq. I can't recall the connection, but I remember having discussions about Palmer's relationships with the powers that be at Compaq dating back beyond 1981. Then again, CPQ and AMD seem to be pretty chummy already. Bud
