After months of problems with Schwab slow executions, I finally got the real reason that their trades are delayed. Yesterday, I complained to my "Signature" representative about another slow, 11 minute market-buy-order execution. He told me that the reason that this trade was so slow is that their e-trade department reviews buy orders before execution, and that their e-trading department was understaffed and was running about 10 minutes behind in giving their O.K. to process orders.
