Thank you greatly for the information and also for clearing up what I had misunderstood about FYROM feelings toward Greeks.
Now here's where I badly need info, and you sound as if you can give it. I know there will be agency help, but is there a need in Macedonia for independent, non-agency help, emotional help, such as watching children while mothers can go about tending their practical needs. I'm not a young person and can't do many things that I'm sure are needed, but it's been my honor in the past to be able to tend and comfort children under similar situations, and I'm somewhat familiar with the terrible stress and exhaustion of the mothers. It's probably a moot point, as I'm unlikely to be able to get it together, but it has occurred to me that volunteer efforts by people who would bring in their own food might be useful.
Next question: Is there any indication as the number of refugees in Macedonia outweigh the number that can be taken care of, that they are moving further south, considering crossing into Greek Macedonia?
Please, if possible, stay in touch with this board. You are the only person I've found so far who is actually in the field.
Thank you. If you have any info you'd send by e-mail, please do, at:
