Kerry, I agree totally with that. I guess what I meant to say was:

For example, there is one particular guy that is considered the darling of the tech sector right now, and I'm betting he is way, way wrong on his long term calls.

Also received this PM from someone who knows more than I do about analysts (no, it's not Goldfinger):

Because analysts are essentially prostitutes trolling for investment banking fees much like a streetwalker solicits from passersby, their words can be trusted about as much as a hooker who tells her client what a great lover he is.

Generally analysts react rather than anticipate as well. If an analyst upgrades a turd and it rises, I take it as a shorting opportunity.
