RSA Establishes Its First European Office

New Organization Brings Full-Strength RSA Products to Europe, Middle East And Africa

SAN MATEO, Calif. and WOKINGHAM, England, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its commitment to bring full-strength RSA encryption products to the global
marketplace, RSA Data Security, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Security Dynamics Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SDTI - news), today announced its new European-based
sales and support organization headquartered in Wokingham, England. The new organization will play a major role in RSA's ongoing efforts to offer the rapidly expanding
international marketplace products from a non-U.S. source that are fully compatible with its industry-standard, award-winning encryption products.

Through the new European organization, RSA's team of cryptography experts are offering for the first time full-strength RSA encryption products to e-commerce developers in
Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The organization has already scored a major success, licensing RSA's BSAFE(TM) SSL-C software to Israel-based Check Point
Software Technologies, Ltd. Check Point Software will use the BSAFE SSL-C product to implement the SSL security protocol with strong encryption in its VPN-1(TM)
virtual private networking (VPN) product family and its LDAP-enabled Account Management module.

''RSA's efforts to go global are gathering momentum, and the success of our European-based organization will be central to our gaining a foothold in this part of the world,''
said Scott Schnell, senior vice president of marketing for RSA and Security Dynamics Technologies. ''With BSAFE SSL-C software available globally in full-strength
encryption now, and more products from Australia scheduled for release later this year, RSA is demonstrating its commitment to world markets and ensuring that businesses
and ISVs worldwide have access to the most trusted, highly integrated security components in the industry. This will allow them to accelerate the development and deployment
of their e-commerce applications globally.''

The Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional organization is being headed by Tom Schuster, vice president of EMEA. It comprises a sales force knowledgeable in
the areas of security and cryptography and familiar with the unique characteristics of EMEA markets, as well as marketing, pre-sales and support personnel. RSA's new
European operation can be contacted at 44-0-118-936-2600, or by e-mail at emea.info@rsa.com.

BSAFE(TM) SSL-C software is the first product from RSA Australia and the first full-strength security protocol product from RSA for worldwide markets. BSAFE SSL-C
was developed entirely in Australia by RSA's leading cryptography experts. Products are shipped directly to customers from RSA's development center in Brisbane, Australia,
and are, therefore, not subject to U.S. export restrictions. Because the strong encryption originates from outside the U.S., developers everywhere will for the first time be able
to deliver one version of all their products with RSA strong encryption to customers anywhere in the world. BSAFE SSL-C software gives developers a comprehensive set of
fully supported security components for building SSL v2 and v3 compliant applications.

Before using RSA's BSAFE SSL-C product, companies wanting to deliver products containing strong encryption to international markets were forced by U.S. government
export restrictions to develop each of their products twice, once in the U.S. for U.S. customers and again outside the U.S. for customers everywhere else. Further, they had to
employ non-RSA strong encryption components for products being delivered to customers outside the U.S. Now they can ship a single product with RSA 128-bit strong
encryption internationally, including to U.S. customers.
