Sam,

That was a very interesting post for many different reasons.

The first reason is that it contained an element of compassion and patience that I had not detected in any of your previous posts(that is not to say that your posts never contained those traits, it is just the first time I noticed it). I think what you say is far more persuasive when it is presented in this fashion.

the second aspect is that I couldn't agree more about the content(at least a large part of it). I absolutely agree that the spirit of god dwells within us, and that it is up to us to reunify with that aspect of ourselves and to recognize it. I am not sure if that aspect is called Christ, Buddha, Allah, the great I AM, or anything else. I am fairly sure that it doesn't matter what you call it, as long as you
live with mindfullness of it.

I absolutely agree that truth should be able to stand up to alll questioning, and that questioning is a positive thing and not disrespectful. A truth wherein the hoders of that truth are afraid to
illuminate the darker corners, is no truth at all.

I know that people will feeel that I am attacking Christianity or organized religion by saying this, but the truth is I am not. This thread has a tendency to have a "You are either with me or against me" type of philosophy. Things don't have to be that way.
