Citrix MetaFrame Wins Coveted 1999 Codie Award for Best
Enterprise Management Tool

-- Software & Information Industry Association Honor Very Best in Software
Excellence in Annual Codie Awards Ceremony --

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999-- Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS - news) today
announced its MetaFrame(TM) server-based computing software has won a 1999 Codie Award for Excellence in Software
by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). At a ceremony held in Los Angeles attended by over 600 people
in the high-tech industry, Citrix MetaFrame software was honored as the industry's Best Enterprise Management Tool.

The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) 1999 Excellence in Software Awards - the 14th Annual Codie
Awards - honors the achievements of software publishers for outstanding creativity and innovation in 1998. The Codie
Awards encompass software for any type of computer user -- at home, work, school, or on the Internet -- including business,
education, entertainment, consumer, enterprise and online applications. A total of 39 Codie Awards were presented during
the annual ceremonies.

''A Codie Award-winning product is a tremendous honor for any company to have,'' said Ken Wasch, SIIA president.
''Winning the award means the product has been deemed the highest of quality and the most innovative product on the market.
What makes these awards so special though, is the fact that the winners were singled out from among over 540 products by
hundreds of peers throughout the software industry. Once again, proving the equity of the Codie Awards, this year's list of
winners is quite diverse, representing both start-ups and industry titans. It is our hope consumers will look to the Codie
Awards symbol of excellence for the newest and best products in the industry when considering a new software purchase.''

''We are pleased to be recognized by our industry peers for this very prestigious award,'' said Steve Adams, vice president
of worldwide marketing for Citrix. ''We believe server-based computing is one of the most dynamic new technology markets
in evolution today, and are excited that industry pace-setters recognize the strategic value MetaFrame plays in
mission-critical enterprise computing and the promise our server-based computing technology holds for delivering
mission-critical applications to businesses and consumers anytime, anywhere.''
