A person I know in Calgary says that this deal is part of the "Jerez is destined" :-) Jerez Energy International Inc JRZ Shares issued 25619358 1997-02-19 close $2.45 Wednesday Feb 19 1997 News Release Mr Jeff Scott reports A wholly owned subsidiary of Jerez Energy International signed a joint venture agreement with Niger Delta Petroleum Resources of Lagos, Nigeria, which concludes the negotiations that gave rise to the memorandum of understanding signed between Jerez and NDPR as previously announced in a news release in Stockwatch September 18 1996. The joint venture agreement is subject to Nigerian government approval. Under the terms of the joint venture agreement, Jerez has acquired a 37.5% working interest and a 30% revenue interest in a proven non-producing onshore light oil field in Nigeria with a further right to participate in an additional light oil field. This represents a significant step towards the implementation of the company's strategy to produce light oil in the prolific Nigerian basin.
