Perhaps, it's there is many lurkers, not contributors.
Well, also, the more active threads are either the large caps that are performing so well or threads discussing daytrading or short-term trading. It's a pricing issue with SI. You find quite a bit of action at Yahoo but it's free and it's hard to find anything worthwhile when you have to mud through hundreds of junk messages.

Haven't tried some of the smaller message boards, have you?
