Paul, Solaris is a great OS, and there doesn't seem to be any motivation to switch to Linux. Sun hardware platforms are extremely stable, and combined with their software are almost bulletproof. It is going to be very difficult for x86/Linux to make headway in markets which are used to Sun/Solaris. Scumbria
