2/21/97 IBD: U.S.ROBOTICS READY TO SHIP ITS FAST MODEM WITHIN DAYS The top maker of computer modems now plans to ship its high-speed modems by this weekend, about one week later than first planned. Stores were informed of the delay, but one was unable to pull its ads for the widely anticipated 56,000 bits-per-second modems. Motorola said last week it formed an alliance with Rockwell to develop a 56,000 bps modem for shipment in March.
