I live in an area north of Seattle at the tip of Lake Washington. Seattle and surrounding communities are considered a hub for Internet activity. US West has been unable to provide me with the service, which was promised by the first of this year. They found that they need to revamp their antiquated local switching station. TCI/AT&T is working on providing digital cable access but that is probably 6 to 18 months off. Here I am in the middle of many high tech industries and I can't get more than 28.8 out of my 56k modems! I wish one of these outfits or would get their act together. Congradulations!
