Fix on failure sometimes is used when your car has a problem and they just can't find it. You have to wait until the problem gets worse or fails to actually find out what's going on.

Same is with health, my doctor told me sometimes people with vague symptoms can't be diagnosed until the symptoms get worse.

Fix on failure, doesn't sound bad to me, but too the worriers, that's another story.
