Points well taken. I would still argue, however, that Eco Logic has done a dreadful job "selling" their unique, environmentally friendly process to either the movers and shakers on Bay Street, or to the government, either directly, or through lobbying/advocate groups. If they don't correct this deficiency, it won't matter where they reside.
If you have read the literature on the company, they have great reviews from both the federal and provincial environmental ministries, and have exhibited their process for both groups. That is fine, but it did not result in orders. If they were owned by Bombardier, they might have made some progress, but they are not.
If you saw the recent article in the National Post about the new Embassy in Berlin, you might begin to believe, as I do that it is necessary in Canada to have the Right Friends, obviously Eco Logic does not.
Our country is a backwater, Java was developed here, but came into it's own after it went to the United States. ELI is no different, the technology is state of the art and recognised as such, at least according to ELI press releases, but they didn't manage to fulfill the GE contract and the Toronto Hydro project is no longer mentioned, so I assume that it is gone. So that I know of they have only ever had one contract here and that was at GM.
The only things open are in Japan, and Australia, lets just move the construction of the product to Australia, and save on shipping...... |
