Don't think we should be involved on the ground at this stage. We are trying to keep Europe stable, and fulfilling our moral obligations by bombing Serbia. However, a ground deployment by NATO as an offensive deployment is too high a price to pay. This would destabilize Russia by bringing support for hardline nationalists and might up the ante for everyone. In addition it would put our troops in harms way. Our troops are there to defend the US soil, not fight European wars unless our interests are directly at stake. Same can not be said of coldwar surplus bombs!
I think we can do serious damage to Serbian offensive capability by sustaining airraids until we level the playing field for KLA. When such a parity is reached, Serbia would be ready for the negotiating table.
