Daniel, I know that concept called 'the float' is popular among otc-bb aficionados, but it's imho not particularly useful. What I always want to know is -
1. The number of shares issued and outstanding.
2. The number of shares authorised.
3. The number, prices, and expiry dates of all options and warrants outstanding.
4. A clear explanation of different classes of shares, if applicable.
5. An itemised timeline of share issues for the recent [~5yr] past, with prices or consideration for each issue clearly explained.

All together that's called 'share structure'. Add #1 and #3, shares out and options/warrants, and you have a figure for the 'fully diluted' shares. Without that figure you cannot obtain the market capitalisation, and without that the price per share is completely meaningless, imho.
