Chase Manhattan is also a US bank that has a presence in Brazil. Chase Manhattan agrees to purchase Brazilian bank Abstracted from Wall Street Journal 01/08/99 Banco Patrimonio Participacoes (Sao Paulo, Brazil), an investment bank, will be acquired by Chase Manhattan Corp (New York) from holding company Patrimonio Participacoes in a deal whose terms were not revealed. The acquisition will add new types of services Chase had not previously offered in that country and includes all uses of the Patrimonios name, although some activities will remain with the holding company.
