Agreed, the risk can be terrible. So many from the "popular" penny threads end up here asking me for help. I wish they had come BEFORE they lost their money, because I could have helped them then.

Of course I may just tell them to put their money in a mutual fund and forget about it.

Imagine an honest acting coach. . .if he discourages the wannabes from quiting their day jobs and pursuing an acting career, he puts himself out of business. . . but if he encourages them and tells them to reach for the stars, sooner or later he's the one left to pick up the pieces when they fall on their faces, lose their houses, run up their credit cards, etc. It's a lose lose.

As for which stock will outperform. . .I haven't a clue. I know where I think A.T. and T. will be. . .or Compaq. . .but the penny stocks are like a world unto their own.
