Bill Gates told Steve Case once, to paraphrase, "I can buy one third of you, I can buy all of you, or I can get into this business myself and bury you." Well, that was maybe five years ago and guess what? He couldn't do any of the three. He could have done the first, but didn't. He almost succeeded with the second, but a poison pill took care of that. He tried the third and everyone figured he would roll over AOL. Guess what? He didn't, and MSN is second or third fiddle to AOL and Yahoo. So here you come, spouting stuff that is at least five years old.
