I have a stupid question to the thread. Can the broker you are borrowing shares from [eg, DLJ] force you to cover at any time because they want/need the shares back? Has that ever happened to anyone? I'm pretty new to shorting and have heard different answers to this from traders I spoke to. Thanks.
