I thought the same thing, VVVBG, when I sold calls on my NITE shares. I bought at 37 and right away sold the July45s for 6 1/2 for an effective sale at 51 1/2. Now NITE is almost 65.

It's not that the profit I made wasn't ok, it's just that I feel that I outsmarted myself and would have done better if I hadn't done anything. I lost one of those moves that don't come along in stocks I'm already long that often.

I'm considering buy those calls back because I'll make up all but 4 1/2 points per contract. I'm recovering the difference between the 45 and 65 in my long shares so it isn't that bad.

I've had these things go both ways on me and I've found that the premie and the OTM isn't enough in these really big swingers. In this kind of market and these kinds of stocks, it's more profitable to buy the stock and the calls.... has been so far anyway.
