<..only the timing has slipped....>

No, management (CEO) credibility has, and not just slipped, but taken a serious fall.

<..I would think they're experienced enough to realize there is no magic to April 1...>

The only magic to April 1st is that it was the guidance date repeatedly given to the street by the CEO for announcing a deal. NOW, the question is not just "wherefore art thou, funding?" but the arguably more important to stock price "wherefore art thou, credible management?"

<..If the deal milestone slipped due to options presented, this should not diminish the Co's value...>

What diminishes the company's value is a lack of management credibility. Once that is called into question, what do we have? And if some "better, future" equity deal is anticipated, what price will shareholders then pay in ARTT stock currency? The new deal would have to be SIGNIFICANTLY better than whatever they could announce (if anything) by Q's end, just to offset the expected credibility-discount price drop.

<..And, they can learn this info as easily as me...>

Do you doubt that they already know this and more?
