Believe it or not, I first saw this on QVC (shopping
channel). Their first product came out last year and was
a kitchen cutting board of some kind of plastic infused
with Microban as an answer to various nasty things that
abound in the wake of a session in the kitchen. There
were some QVC demonstrations that purported to show how
repeated use of the cutting board spreads germs around.
Cut up a chicken, then cut the veggies, etc. Using some
doped up powder on the chicken and going through a
typical meal prep session and then switching on the
ultra-violet light (before and after meal prep) showed
how the "germs" were spread all over the kitchen and
beyond (cutting board to pot handles to refridgerator
and cabinet handles etc, etc). You might start at QVC
Home Page qvc.com They are very helpful
as far as customer service, product inquiries, etc and
have an 800 telephone no.
