Of course, Palmer is NOT on CPQ's BOD so that part of the scheme is a little weak. Aside from that, there would be zero traction for an AMD purchase - CPQ does not use AMD in either corporate desktops or enterprise products. The last thing CPQ needs is a money-losing boat anchor. I think we should start a rumor that CPQ will buy Coca-cola so that they can provide fee soft drinks on campus again...
