I don't understand why you guys are all over Microsoft because of the Melissa virus. It's not as if they wrote it.

Microsoft software is targeted because it's so widely used. Jeez, it's the malicious jerks who write/distribute viruses that should be blamed. Just because those guys used Microsoft software as a tool...it's not Microsoft's fault that their technologies are used improperly. I suppose if someone uses a Sun Solaris workstation to to hack the pentagon, you'd advocate suing Sun? Or if a person murders another, the gun/bullet makers get sued? Puleez.

PS. Interestingly....I tried to send a fake/joke Melissa email to some friends, but my mail server wouldn't let it leave my outbox so long as the subject line read: "Important Message From Sal." But then when I spelled it as "Importent Message From Sal," it zipped on through.

PPS. If you think that a stupid virus is going to cause a big drop in MSFT stock, well...it's a good thing you're only doing the shorting with play money :)
