Not sure why, but often when these mergers actually close, the survivor goes up. I assume it has to do with the unwinding of the arbitrage in which the acquiring co. stock was sold short to capture the deal "premium." What escapes me is that the arbitrage should be completed by merely delivering the new shares of QTRN received in exchange for the ENVY shares to cover the short. For whatever reason, it seems there is always new buying after the deal closes.
