"volatility happens" I guess would be an acceptable reason why Oracle dropped. I have to say that another factor that many people on this board don't seem to take into account is that the growth story has to taper off sometime. Oracle has been super for investors over the past decade. The next decade will be a lot harder. This is just a fact.

If Oracle settles down to a long-run growth rate no higher than 10% (and the question is really when not if), then Oracle will be just another stock, not the sure-fire moneymaker most people on this thread seem to believe it is. I don't know whether that will happen in 1999 or 2009.
