Hopefully the Q will not put all its eggs for the MSM 4000 series in the Microsoft WinCE basket. Sadly for MSFT, and perhaps the Q, the WinCE operating system still seems to be clunky and buggy. There are rival systems which may well make WinCE an also ran. Just a worry re the Q being in bed with MSFT. Fortunately, the relationship so far is one step removed - a joint venture. I must admit the only future cloud I see on the horizon for the Q is being swallowed MSFT or damaged by too close a MSFT grip. Hope this is a shadow only, not substance. But the track record of MSFT with its "partners" and failure to launch numerous initiatives where there was real competition in the past, gives pause. I for one assume the Q's leadership will deal with MSFT with its eyes on not only the advantages of cooperating with MSFT, but also the need for independence and cooperating with other companies and emerging handheld wireless operating systems when necessary for the Q itself. The record to date on the pdQ and the PalmPilot OS is reassuring IMO. All just my rumination and speculation. Again, hope my worries in this are just that - worries only - and the actual result will be not only good but excellent. :-) Chaz
