The keyboard of the Latitude is a good as my desktop system's, and the machine has a very solid feel - it's not an ultralight. I don't use the 15" monitor attached to the docking station at work, since I like the laptop's display better. The battery system is the best I've seen, which is what I'd expect from dell. It's really easy to swap the floppy drive, cd-rom, or spare battery in the extra bay.

About the only drawback is that dell took the standard (weak) laptop approach in providing a pseudo numeric keypad. If I could think of a better way, I'd patent it and get rich!

Did you get a cd-rom or a dvd player? It would be fun to be able to play your own movies on airline flights, but my company wouldn't go for it.

You're going to love your Latitude. Let me know what you think when you get it.
