It would be so stupid not to spin Waterhouse and Greenline off from the traditional banking. TD's Online trading unit can demand a way higher multiple (PE) similar to those of EGRP and SCH, and other smaller player. Remember, Waterhouse is the #2 online player in the field in the USA. If they don't act fast, EGRP will surpass Waterhouse in terms of growth potential. The management should know that they might be good in managing a bank. However, running a high tech and high growth online trading powerhouse is a different story. Just look at the acquistion and marketing effort EGRP has done lately. Build the BRAND image and reputation. Do you know how many EGRP ads I see on CNBC each morning?
