David,

I originally bought CPQ in 1994. I bought 1000 shares at a cost basis of about $7 (post splits). Made about 500% on the investment (when it starts moving up, it goes pretty fast). However, the last year and a half have been disappointing, to say the least. I still hold 2000 shares, at a cost basis of around 20.

Now AOL is another story! I bought Netscape stock in Oct for $22.50 (1000 shares). I now have 900 AOL (and a gain of almost 500%!). It's nice when it works! (My former broker tried to get me to sell NSCP at 27.50! THat's why he's a FORMER broker!)

Jeff
