In all seriousness, God bless the 2nd circuit. I was involved in a lawsuit arising out of a traffic accident, as the defendant, a couple of years ago. I was appalled when my attorney tried to get me to sign- on to fabricated testimony in the interrogatories, and only held back from getting rid of her because she had been supplied by the insurance company, and I didn't want a beef with them. I made it clear, though, that I would have none of that nonsense. Before my deposition, she threatened to cut me off if I were too honest. Then I found out that she hadn't really listened to my account of the accident, and the truth put my case in a strong position. The settlement was favorable, little more than the original, modest offer.
