I would not equate Cytrix and QCOM in any way. Citrix had a product that MSFT wanted and had the capability to develop themselves they "opted to lisence" instead of develop themselves. Sybase is another good example. They really got screwed when MSFT went there own way. CDMA is a chip technology that MSFT has no hope of duplicating or running with on there own they need a strategic partner very similar to the INTEL partnership. The danger lies in them being able to develop a better relationship with another wireless partner. This deal is good news it is also dangerous news. Q has to remain a leader in its core business. Continue to inovate and grow. That is what is important. The good news is MSFT is comming calling with oportunities. I suspect Intel and others to come a calling soon as well. Integrating wireless on a single chip is too big. CDMA is the future for the next few years. Q's job is to find the next future and lock their competition out like Intel has done.
