ZD/ZDZ is a confusing deal.

In looking at valuation I did a SWAG analysis of the ZD chart and figured ZD was worth about $12 without ZDZ. Then, I assumed that since they will still own about 85% of ZDZ stock, you can add 85% of the ZDZ stock price to ZD. Thus ZD fair value = $12 + .85 * ZDZ Price. At its IPO price of $19, this means ZD is worth 12 + .85*19 = 28. About where it trades.

And if ZDZ runs, ZD is worth a lot more. So, while I am tempted to short ZD, I think I will stay on the sidelines unless someone can show me how my numbers are wrong.
