I didn't say that it helped us at this point.

But you and I will have to disagree re the "Kemp Regime". I did not agree with all of Sid's actions but overall I still believe his actions were by and large appropriate given the information he had available. The fact that Ledoux retracted makes those actions questionable but only in hind sight.

I also expressed at that time that I wanted to hear more about the Dekka concept. At no point were we given anything much more than rumours about that strategy. And yes that is something I blame on Sid. But in the sketchy form it was presented I thought then and still think now that it was worth investigating. I consider the whole desert dirt group as the longest of long shots. The Dekka concept held out the prospect of at least recouping part of our investment. The fact that Christian selected a property that was eventually acquired by as reputable a firm as Barrick adds further support to the notion that it might have been a credible strategy.
